Hi. I have a Bush A126q washing machine, which last night, suddenly stopped working on any programme and with the start/pause light blinking.
I have checked the usual suspects, pump filter, too much weight. All to no avail.
It 'threatens' to start but then stops and the light blinks.
In the manual, the fault light suggests the door isn't closed, but this is not the case.
Thanking you in anticipation. David Thornton

All Machines theses days are digitally controlled, which means they do a self diagnostic test just before they start. If a fault is found they usually just stop with the light blinking. To determine the exact fault the appropriate Engineer for the machine will come along with his laptop and do his test to find where the fault is. However the most likely cause of your problem if the machine is 3 or more years old is the motor brushes. Remove the motor from the machine then remove one of the carbon brushes, if its about 3ml long its worn out.
make sure before removing the motor that the machine is disconnected from the Electrical and water supply, makes it a lot easier.
